Glados that is the version I downloaded, this is the error I get when trying to use 1.13 and in all honesty it happens with any launcher, but I figured since it is also happening with skaia's launcher maybe they could help me figure out why. The version of java that I have is up to date, I have uninstalled and reinstalled and nothing seems to work

If it's built-in, try to download Java separately, then downloading the plain launcher.

There is a launcher file for Mac and Linux. Did you click on the "Mac and Linux" folder and use that one or did you open the first launcher the you saw?

Yes she's tried that, we've tried uninstalling java and installing different versions. But when she tries to launch minecraft before the minecraft window ever appears it crashes instantly after clicking play.
