Hey, I’m clyde
Before i start TyPiNg i just wanna say that, i am NOT saying that their languages are bad in any way im am just stating to how it looks on the eyes of people who don’t understand...
So Cueballcraft has players all over the world. Different continets, Different states, Different languages..
And the cueball chat, to us that can only understand english.. it feels kinda flooded.. because there are few groups of people that choose to speak in their native language all the time.. and to me and alot of other players its an issue. So basically the chat is filled with words we dont understand. We have told them that some of us dont like it but they never listen.. i know this might seem dumb, but there are alot of cases where they swear and offend and Operators dont even understand what they said, to the players that can’t speak their language the chat feels flooded, and i miss messages from people stating at me because i dont read chat cus its always flooded with languages i do not understand...
I don’t know about you but in my eyes this seems like and issue...

Fun Fact: Players are only to speak other languages in /tell. If you see anyone in chat talking in a different language, please try to tell staff.

Lol are you gonna try to translate that?
Im not banned evaders. All scared me!
|
|
Well Japanese -> Spanish -> Africaans -> Tagalog -> English translates as
How's this? what
Why is this Lawwe's bad idea to be delicious?
Would you like to travel?

It's was not allowed initially, but I mean, we don't see anyone getting banned for it. All your points seemed to come from a selfish point of view, Not because you don't understand it, means it's bad. Sometimes, Players get their friends and family to play on the server (which is AWESOME!), but they don't always understand English and have to be explained to in one that they can. Excessive non English conversations is a problem tho, but I don't see that happening. So my point is, It's really okay at a point for the said reason. (helping a non English player get around in our English server.)
Two souls of the same intentions will always meet before death.

Even when it may result anoying for some people, I dont think that the server should take measures to prevent or punish the people of those conversations. I mean, punishing someone for not speaking English is a little bit... silly. And there are not many preventive measures to be taken either, becuase if you dont understand English, a sign saying "DO NOT SPEAK OTHER LANGUGES IN CHAT" doesnt really tell you much.
About people insulting in othe languages, if you see any -> report it izi pizi.

Why don't they use in /tell? I'm confused :L
|
|
Maybe becuase they dont know the command, maybe they are 3 or more people or maybe they just dont want to type /tell every single time.
|
|
Maybe add a group chat feature where people can make a clan or something and talk whatever they like within that channel.
